A traditional village pub, set in the historical Kentish village of Challock offering delicious home made food using only the finest local produce. We specialise in fresh fish and shellfish with a wide variety of seafood on offer from both our main menu and our ever changing Specials blackboards. We also offer an excellent selection of traditional British and Continental dishes. We have many different menus available, the Senior Citizens Menu offers two courses for £6.95. It includes dishes such as liver & bacon and Homemade Chicken, Ham & Leek Pie. Other menus that we do include a gluten free menu, set menu & buffet brochure for all of those special occasions. Our Chef's dishes are complimented by a carefully selected range of superb new and old world wines. All of which are listed on our 2011 Wine List. 'I have been eating here for several years now and must say I have never been disappointed. The menu has changed slightly over time and is very good. I do miss the Meat Skewers from the specials board, but the rest is very good. The fish menu is exceptional and for folk like me who cannot eat prawns the chef will always oblige with a sauce that can't be beaten. For me the highlight is the pies. I have never eaten better even in Gastro pubs in London. I am moving to Spain soon and will miss my favourite pub, but be assured will visit whenever I am back in Kent. Kris Hurman, Ashford, kent'
